From Alan Falconer
Let's play a guessing game ….. How many empty seats will there be at the Labour Party Conference?
Or to put it another way, how many CLPs who nominated delegates will be under-represented or not represented at all?
You see, an increasing number of left leaning Party members who are now receiving a communication from the General Secretary telling them they have been disenfranchised in the Leadership Election thought they would be in Liverpool. But the “.. administrative suspension means that you cannot attend any Party meetings including Annual Conference…”
Does this put into context Luke Akehurst's recent assertion that Labour First etc “are going into conference having secured a very strong position in the election of CLP delegates, and with an unprecedented level of organisation …”?
Have I been misunderstanding what the term "Democratic Socialist Party" actually means? Or are these three words, put on the back of the membership card during the New Labour era, merely a sick joke? Surely not.
